The Latvian volleyball pair was won by 3-2 (25:17, 21:25, 32:30, 22:25, 15: 8).
Marta Kamelia Levinska scored 28 points for Latvians, 21 points for Anija Jurdža, and Anna Morning and Paula Nikola Nechiporuk scored 15 points. The morning stood out with five points in the block and added three “Eisus”, as did Nechiporuk.
Julia Lengweiler scored 21 points.
The answer game will take place on Sunday in Switzerland in Senenverd. The winner of the European Silver League will win the right to start in the European Gold League next season.
The Latvian team won the Faroe Islands, Israel, Luxembourg and Georgia in the first four games, but lost five sets to Austria and three in Switzerland.
Switzerland did not lose in six games and were 18 points, but Latvia scored 13 points, securing a place in the European Silver League final.
Coaches Inguna Minusa and Arvils Keys, coaches/statistics/statisticians Marek Maksimov and Vladimir Visockis, physical fitness coach Rono Antero Reisa, physiotherapist Luisa Dombrovskis and manager Kristaps Chernavskis are assisted in the national team.
This season, nine teams – Latvia, Austria, Switzerland, Israel, Georgia, Northern Macedonia, Luxembourg, Faroe Islands and Iceland – took part in the European Silver League.
