The Latvian 3×3 men’s basketball team, which includes Nauris Miezis, Kārlis Lasmanis, Zigmārs Raimo and Kristaps Glumītis, beat Austria in the first round of the World Cup final in the Ulanbaor’s World Cup finals on Friday.
Latvia won with 21:18 and will meet Switzerland in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Lasmanis scored seven points with two assists and three rebounds in the account, as well as a long -range shot 1.6 seconds before the end of the match. Miezis and Raimo scored five points and scoring, with four and three rebounds, respectively, with four points, two assists and five rebounds.

The first place winners immediately secured a place in the quarterfinals, while the second and third place winners in each group play the eighth finals on Friday.
The World Cup in the Mongolian capital, Ulanba, will take place by the end of the week. Both the women’s and men’s tournament are 20 teams.
The Latvian women’s 3×3 basketball team did not leave the sub -group.
The Latvian men’s team plays in their fifth championship in a row, winning silver in 2019 and bronze medals in 2023.
