French & Italian Basketball: EuroCup Semifinals Bound

In the quarter -finals, the French women won Lithuania with a score of 83:61 (35:14, 21:17, 15:14, 12:16).

In the first quarter, French basketball players made nine of 11 shots.

In the French national team with 15 points, Iliana Ruhde was the most successful. Laura Juškaite scored 16 points and eight rebounds, while firs were scored 15+7 in these statistics.

Meanwhile, Italy beat Turkey with a score of 76:74 (20:17, 11:18, 19:15, 18:18, 8: 6).

The Italians were close to victory in the regular time, but in the last second, Sevgi Uzdzun was drawn with a tie. In extra time, the victory was secured by Chechila’s girlfriends 16 seconds before the end.

Spain with the Czech Republic and Germany with Belgium will play on Wednesday. The winner of these couples will meet with France and Italy, respectively.

There are 16 teams divided into four sub -groups. In the playoffs in Greece, the winners of the first two places were secured by the four groups.

The European Championship final, which will take place by the end of the week, is organized for the first time by four countries – the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece and Italy. The Latvian team did not qualify for this year’s championship.
