BASEBALL. A thrust of three points in seventh round allowed the Brock Nutrite Lambert to defeat the Cactus of Victoriaville in 4-2 Thursday evening.
The cactus had however taken the lead 2-0 after two rounds thanks to points produced by Joshué Peley and Raphaël Savard. It was then necessary to wait until the sixth round before seeing Drummondville register for the score.
While the goals were filled for the Brock at the start of the seventh round, Marc-Antoine Lefebvre was reached by a throw that pushed Xavier Langlois to marble. Subsequently, Samuel Nadeau struck a simple producing the two points which assured the victory for visitors.
Coming back to Xavier Tremblay in the second round, Ky Hampton withdrew six strikers on sockets to record his fourth victory of the season in as many decisions.
On the cactus side, the defeat went to the Ryusuke Ito lift file, who came over to Vincent Ruel in seventh round.
The cactus had the upper hand in terms of sure with nine against this part disputed at the Rémi-Deshaies stadium in Victoriaville.
The Brock (8-5) will visit the exhibitions in Sherbrooke (4-9) this Friday at 8 p.m. It will be the penultimate match of the team on the road before the inauguration of the new Jacques-Desautel stadium | Desjardins on July 4.
