Faced with strong assistance and in the presence of the mayor of the commune Alain Glade, the general assembly of AS Briatexte took place in an atmosphere charged with emotion.
After seven years at the head of the club, Nicolas Monmayran announced, with a lively twinge in the heart, the end of his mandate and his desire to pass the relay. The moral and sporting report, presented at the start of the session, made it possible to establish a first quantified assessment of 247 licensees, a slight decrease of 13 compared to the previous financial year. A complete overview was also carried out concerning the different categories of young people, with a globally positive observation despite some difficulties encountered in the female workforce, deemed insufficient.
On the senior side, the reserve team course was particularly hailed. By playing the leading roles in the first part of the season, she ensured her maintenance with brilliance. “The best season for ten years,” said Nicolas Monmayran. For its part, the pennant team experienced a more contrasting championship course.
“The season remains average with an inconsistent course. We are finishing 8th, which still allows us to keep ourselves in the division. Next year, we will seek to raise our ambitions. The progression must continue,” said coach Rémi Payrastre, renewed in his functions.
On the financial level, the figures are in good shape with a positive balance of almost 11,000 euros recorded. This benefit, the fruit of rigorous management, is also accompanied by the good results of the Loto and the May tournament, two major events in the life of the club.
The club also wanted to honor several shadow volunteers, pillars of the daily, welcoming the commitment of Fabienne Payrastre, Montsé Mazens, Céline Bru and Jérémy Passemar.
At the end of assembly, Nicolas Monmayran delivered a last speech charged with emotion, returning to his years of presidency before symbolically passing the torch with two well -known figures of the club: Jordan Da Silva and Stéphane Bagland, both invested for many seasons.
In the process, a new office was formed with Jacques Da Silva (vice-president), Manon Mazens (treasurer) and Thibault Pontier (secretary). Two new managers of the football school were also appointed: Théo Dosse and Clément Soukri.
