This Spanish club could have qualified for the last 16 if I could score more goals against Botafogo. Atletico pillar, Giuliano Simeone believes his club should be able to do this if the referee carries out his duties properly.

The son of Atletico coach, Diego Simeone, feels that Atletico should get two penalties. This happened when Julian Alvarez was dropped in the penalty box and violation to Alexander Sarloth.

In the event of Alvarez, the referee did not consider him a violation. While in the Sorloth case, Atletico players committed violations before Sorloth was dropped.

“To be honest, I have never seen something like this. I think we should have been given two penalties. I haven’t seen it anymore, so maybe I am wrong. I have to see it again. I think the decision is not profitable at all. In all matches that, we have to play with this situation,” Giuliano was quoted as saying by Football Espana.
