Morbidelli Focused on VR46, Not Ducati’s Past
Franco Morbidelli, rider for the VR46 Racing Team, is laser-focused on the upcoming MotoGP 2025 season. He’s not distracted by the choices of his Ducati-manufacturer teammates, Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez.
2025 Season Kicks Off in Thailand
The 2025 MotoGP season is just two weeks away, with the Buriram Circuit in Thailand hosting the opening race from February 28 to March 2, 2025.
Different Ducati Engines for Different Riders
Morbidelli will be using the Ducati desmosedici GP24, the previous season’s engine. Bagnaia and Marquez, though, will have the newer Desmosedici GP25.
Morbidelli’s Malaysian Test Results
During the 2025 MotoGP test session at the Malaysian Circuit, Morbidelli felt little advantage with the older Ducati engine. This could possibly impact Bagnaia and Marquez’s strategies.
Morbidelli’s Perspective
“I’m not concerned about that,” Morbidelli stated. “My focus is on maximizing my performance with my team and my bike. I’m confident in my approach.”
Pramac’s Past and VR46’s Future
Last season,Morbidelli competed for Pramac,but fell short of the podium. His best result was fourth place at the MotoGP Mandalika race. Now, he’s part of Valentino Rossi’s VR46 team, with high expectations for the upcoming season.
