For months, speculation swirled about ronald Araujo’s future—would he remain at FC Barcelona or make a move to Juventus in Serie A? The uncertainty has finally been put to rest.
The 25-year-old center-back has signed a five-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2031. This declaration came directly from the club on Thursday evening, solidifying his long-term commitment to the Catalan giants.
Earlier this season, Araujo faced a critically important setback due to a knee injury, sidelining him for much of the frist half.Upon his return, he found himself behind rising star Pau cubarsi and seasoned defender Inigo Martinez in the pecking order. However, his recent performances have been stellar, earning him the captain’s armband in three consecutive matches.
