According to Italian sports daily Corriere dello Sport, Roma’s initial bid of €5 million was swiftly rejected by Ajax, who are reportedly seeking a fee in the range of €9 million to €10 million.
Though, Roma has already made significant progress on the personal terms front. Florent Ghisolfi, Roma’s sporting director, has successfully negotiated a contract with Rensch that would see him commit to the Giallorossi until the summer of 2029.
Undeterred by the initial setback, Roma is poised to increase their offer by approximately €2 million in a renewed attempt to land the promising defender. The club is eager to add rensch to their ranks, particularly given his remarkable performances this season, featuring in 13 Eredivisie matches for Ajax. Roberto Mancini: Grazie! It’s a pleasure to be here.I think Rensch has enormous potential. He’s young, athletic, and defensively solid. Roma needs a reliable right-back, and he could flourish under Mourinho’s guidance. The fee is a bit steep for a player nearing the end of his contract, but if Roma can secure him for around €7-8 million, it’s a good deal.
