Harold Castro’s most recent MLB appearance was in 2023 with the Colorado Rockies. During his tenure with the Rockies, the Venezuelan infielder participated in 99 games, achieving a .252 batting average. He recorded 65 hits, 13 doubles, one home run, 31 RBIs, 24 runs scored, and nine walks across 258 at-bats.
Should Castro earn a spot on the Kansas City roster, he’ll join fellow Venezuelans Salvador Pérez, Maikel García, Ángel Zerpa, and Freddy Fermín. Additionally, he’ll reunite with his LVBP manager, José Alguacil.
Currently, castro is competing in the Venezuelan winter league finals as a reinforcement player for the Lara Cardinals. As of the Round Robin stage, he boasts a .386 batting average, with 22 hits, four doubles, three home runs, 14 RBIs, and 18 runs scored in 14 games.
