From January 17 to 19,the duo showcased their skills at the elite youth circuit accession rally,a prestigious event that attracts top young talent from across the country.

In Bourges, two young athletes found themselves locked in a fierce competition. This event was a pivotal moment for both players, as it offered a chance to secure a spot on the elite youth circuit, which showcases the finest junior and cadet badminton talents across France.
for the younger competitor, this marked her debut in such a high-stakes habitat. She faced two tough losses in her group matches, both decided in three sets. It was a bitter pill to swallow,especially since her opponents eventually secured their places in the elite circuit. However, she demonstrated resilience by bouncing back in the consolation matches, clinching two straight-set victories and ending the tournament on a positive note.

Among the cadets, Thomas Binois was placed in a challenging group of four. He started strong with a three-set victory in his opening match and later received a walkover in his second. Though, his third match against the tournament’s fourth seed proved to be a tough battle, resulting in a straight-set loss. Lucas Petit, coach of AUC Badminton, reflected on the match: “thomas showed advancement in the second set, maintaining consistency and staying competitive. However, a few lapses in patience led to critical errors, ultimately costing him the set.”
Despite the setback, Binois advanced to the quarter-finals, bringing him within striking distance of the elite circuit. In a closely contested match, he fought valiantly but fell short, with a final score of 14-21, 22-20, 12-21.
While the results didn’t go entirely their way, both players showcased their potential and determination. their performances serve as a foundation for future growth, and with continued effort, they may soon secure their place among France’s top young badminton talents.
