The achievement carries particular weight following a non-traditional preparation cycle for the international event. Rather than beginning her training embedded within the national team’s centralized structure, Pèlachs opted to start her pre-season at home in Banyoles following an extended period of rest.

«This year has been completely different because I didn’t start concentrated with the national team; I started at home after a period of rest,» Pèlachs said, reflecting on her path to the podium. «Here, people have lived through my pre-season very intensely. Many times they made an effort to accompany me in training, and possibly it wasn’t what suited them best. That is why experiencing it firsthand makes it all the more emotional.»
