Numerous archers from Haute-Marne showcased their skills at the indoor qualifying tournaments for the French Championships, held in Suippes (Marne) and Neufchâteau (Vosges) on January 18 and 19.The events were marked by an remarkable number of podium finishes for the participants.
In Neufchâteau, where 105 archers competed, representatives from Bettancourt, Bourbonne-les-Bains, chaumont, and Eclaron made their mark. In the U11 category, Emma soudant (Eclaron) secured third place. Meanwhile,in U18,Chaumont’s Maé Andreotti and Nello Marmeuse claimed silver and bronze,respectively.
Among the adults, Mylène Soudant (Eclaron) dominated the senior “1” classic bow category with 523 points. Lucie Balazot from Bettancourt earned a bronze medal with 512 points.On the men’s side, Gaël Jeanniot (Chaumont) clinched the top spot with 544 points.
In the senior “2” category, Brice Soudant (Eclaron) narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth, just 12 points shy of third place. Stéphane Quentin (Bourbonne) and Christophe Marmeuse (Chaumont) secured seventh and ninth places, respectively. Jean-Claude Demesy (Bourbonne) ended up thirteenth in the senior “3” division.
Elie Collobert (Chaumont) triumphed in the senior “2” compound bow category, while jessica Parent-Jankovic (Bourbonne) took bronze in the senior “3” compound bow. Jacky Soudant (Eclaron) finished fifth in the men’s division, trailing the podium by 15 points. In the barebow category, Léna Lurquin (Chaumont) claimed gold in U18, while Claude Dobbelaere (Chaumont) secured silver among adults. Dominique Lavey (Bourbonne) and Etienne Saillet (Chaumont) took bronze and fourth place, respectively.

At Suippes, where 151 archers competed, the Haute-Marne contingent demonstrated exceptional precision and determination. In the U11 category, Liam Broutin (SLO Bettancourt) was the sole representative, scoring 254 points.
The SLO Bettancourt club excelled in the youth categories, with Léane Broutin (U13), Esteban Myaux (U15), Nathan Bouveret (U18), and Elisa France (U21) all securing silver medals. Elisa France’s 504 points placed her just one point behind the winner, Lucie Laurent (rethel). Mouhammad bettahar (U15) claimed gold with 507 points, while Chloé Marcher took bronze in the girls’ division.
Among the adults, Giulia Vallelian (SLO Bettancourt) earned a silver medal. Her teammates Khawla Khedaioui, Julina Ounissi, and Sarra Ali Alvarez finished sixth, seventh, and eighth, respectively. In the senior “1” classic bow category, Wilfried De Lat and Alexandre Michelon (both from Bettancourt) placed seventh and twelfth.
Monica Vallelian (SLO Bettancourt) narrowly missed the podium in the senior “2” category,finishing fourth with 476 points,just three points behind Patricia babel (Bézannes). Malika Bettahar secured sixth place. On the men’s side, Jean-Luc Chevillion (Eclaron) dominated with 564 points, while Maxime Broutin and Christophe Vallelian (both from Bettancourt) placed 18th and 19th.Florence Masson (Eclaron) took fourth in the senior “3” category.
In the senior “2” compound bow division, Christophe Keller (Eclaron) fell just short of the podium with 563 points, three points behind Jérôme Thiry (Vrigne-aux-Bois). xavier Masson (Eclaron) finished tenth. In the adult barebow category, Florence Masson and Xavier Masson placed eighth and eleventh, respectively.
