A dominant trend emerged throughout the competition: decisive victories.Many fighters secured wins through Ippon, Judo’s most decisive technique, demonstrating their mastery of the sport.
One of the most anticipated matchups featured mamy Ndongoza, who swiftly dispatched his opponent in a matter of seconds, leaving spectators in awe. Similarly,Rasoanaivo Luc,father of Judo prodigy Laura Rasoanaivo,captivated the crowd with his unique and effective techniques.

Vestalys: Thank you for having me. It was an honor to compete amongst such talented athletes.
Moderator: Your victory was nothing short of impressive. You showcased incredible technique and tactical awareness, outmaneuvering a formidable opponent. can you tell us about your approach going into the match?
Vestalys: My opponent was known for his aggressive style, so I focused on reading his movements and exploiting any openings. Judo is as much a mental game as it is indeed physical. You need to be able to anticipate your opponent’s next move and react accordingly.
Moderator: Absolutely, experience plays a huge role in that. We saw several Ippon finishes throughout the tournament, a testament to the mastery these veterans possess. What are your thoughts on the dominance of decisive victories at this championship?
Vestalys: I beleive it highlights the level of experience these athletes bring to the mat. Over the years, we’ve honed our skills, refined our techniques, and developed a deep understanding of Judo principles. The Ippon represents the culmination of that expertise.

Vestalys: I certainly think it can be favorable. Growing up surrounded by Judo can ignite a passion for the sport from a young age. having a family member who has already navigated the challenges and triumphs of Judo can provide invaluable guidance and support.
