Japanese Judo Champions Ignite Passion at Villefranche Club

In a remarkable two-day event, villefranche judo club became a hub of cultural exchange and learning as Japanese judo legends Tatsuto shima and Junna Kikuchi shared their expertise and cultural insights with eager participants. This special occasion followed the club’s recent hosting of French champions Margaux Pinot and Alpha Djalo, further cementing its reputation as a centre for judo excellence.

A Party of Skill and Culture

On Saturday and Sunday, approximately sixty judokas from various clubs across Occitanie, including several from aveyron, gathered to learn from the Japanese champions. The sessions were divided by age, with adults and adolescents participating on Saturday and younger judokas on Sunday. The event was described by a Toulouse club teacher as a “time of learning in exchange, sharing, and good humor,” highlighting the enriching experiance for all involved.

Masterful Instruction and Cultural exchange

Tatsuto Shima and Junna Kikuchi captivated their audience with their mastery of judo and their dedication to sharing knowledge. Their approach was not just about technique but also about instilling the spirit of Japanese culture. Participants left with not only improved skills but also a deeper thankfulness for the cultural roots of judo.

Looking Forward to More judo Celebrations

As the year 2024 draws to a close,Judo Villefranche is set to celebrate its achievements with a grand gathering on Saturday,December 21,at 10 a.m. The event will bring together judokas of all ages and skill levels for a mass training session on the dojo’s tatami mats. Following the training, participants will enjoy refreshments, marking a festive end to a busy year. Classes will resume on Monday, January 6, as the club looks forward to another year of growth and learning.
