Piedmont Region Boosts Youth sports with €713,828.66 initiative
In a landmark move, the Piedmont Region has greenlit a regional tender aimed at fostering youth engagement through sports, targeting Municipalities and youth centers. The Municipality of Asti emerges as a significant beneficiary,securing €32,391.05 to enhance its judo and motorsports programs. This funding is part of a broader allocation of €713,828.66,distributed among 13 Piedmontese municipalities. The initiative, supported by both regional and state funds, underscores the role of sports as a vital educational and inclusive tool, reinforcing youth participation and community cohesion.
Regional Councilor for Sport, Marina Chiarelli, emphasized the dual benefits of these projects: “The funded projects are an opportunity for young people, but also a way to strengthen ties between territories and promote more united communities. Sport is the first educational form to prevent social isolation by promoting values such as loyalty and balance. We will continue to support all our communities by enhancing projects that aim to bring young people closer to sports that create social and not just economic dividends.”
