Zara’s Heartwarming Display of Affection Towards Uncle Charles at Royal Windsor Horse Show Signals Family Unity Amidst Monarch’s Cancer Battle

Last week, the mother-of-three was seen throwing her arms around Charles, her uncle, in an uncharacteristically friendly display as the two attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show together. Having only returned to public engagements earlier this month, the King appeared in high spirits at the event, beaming as he arrived for the horse show. In a rare public display of affection, he greeted his niece Zara with a huge hug, placing his hand on her back as they exchanged a close embrace. The two were beaming as they drew apart, before chatting with one another.

The affectionate moment is far from the usual formality that royal fans are used to seeing from royals greeting the King. It is perhaps an indication of how close Zara has become with her uncle, the King, as the family rallies around to support the monarch amidst his cancer battle.

The two are known to have gotten along well for decades and often enjoy each other’s company at events like Royal Ascot. Last year, the pair shared a warm embrace on opening day, while at the same event in 2019, Zara threw a friendly arm around her uncle.

Sources revealed earlier this year that Zara and her husband Mike are acting as a vital cog in the royal family machine, bringing qualities of good humour, enthusiasm and positivity.
