For some time now, FC Bayern has been trying intensively to improve the previously rather mediocre permeability between the campus and the professional team. On Wednesday they reported a triple success in this regard: Lovro Zvonarek (19), Noel Aseko Nkili (18) and Adam Aznou (17) all received their first professional contracts. Zvonarek and Aznou signed until summer 2027, Aseko Nkili until 2026.

Zvonarek is currently the furthest out of the trio: the 19-year-old Croatian U-21 international has already played four Bundesliga games under Thomas Tuchel. In the most recent one, on Sunday against VfL Wolfsburg (2-0), he also scored his first goal for the professional team. The offensive all-rounder, who has his strengths as an eighth or tenth, came from Slaven Belupo in the summer of 2022.

In the same year, defender Aseko Nkili moved from Hertha BSC to Munich, where he has made 17 appearances for the second team in the Regionalliga South. Teammate Aznou, who also arrived in 2022, was trained at FC Barcelona, among others. The left wing player – both defensively and offensively – has Spanish and Moroccan citizenship and is a Morocco U-21 national player.

“We trust all three of them to prevail among our professionals in the long term”

“Lovro Zvonarek, Noel Aseko Nkili and Adam Aznou are young players with a lot of potential. The fact that we can now once again give professional contracts to three talents speaks for the work on our FC Bayern Campus,” says FCB sports director Christoph Freund, who is responsible for this, among other things Area responsible. “We will continue to support the three of them closely on their next step. They have everything they need to make their way.”

Jochen Sauer, director of youth development, also thinks highly of the trio: “We trust all three of them to be able to assert themselves among our professionals in the long term.” Which doesn’t mean that those responsible may choose the detour of a loan.
