The Würzburg basketball players messed up champions Ulm’s attempt to defend their title in the fourth game of the best-of-five series. In the best-of-five series, Würzburg was ahead 2:1 before the fourth game. The Lower Franconians converted their match point with 75:72 and thus deservedly moved into the semifinals of the German Basketball Bundesliga championship.
In a close match, the Lower Franconians narrowly beat the Ulm team led by head coach Anton Gavel, thus ending the Swabians’ season on Friday.
