The first round of the awaited series of the all-Siena C playoff final goes to Vismederi Costone: coach Tozzi’s men prevail 73-66 over the Note di Siena Mens Sana Basketball, at the end of an open and fought game until the fourth quarter. The balance is evident from the first 10 minutes, with a tough Mens Sana, thanks to the aggressiveness of Tognazzi, Prosek and Marrucci, and a Costone who is a little dull in his shooting (14-19 for the green and whites). In the second ten minutes the hosts pick up the pace driven by a great Nasello and come back to close the first twenty minutes ahead (35-32).
In the third quarter the inertia seems to be in the hands of Costone who keeps ahead, even if Mens Sana doesn’t give up and with Tognazzi and Marrucci stays attached to the match (end of third quarter 56-51 Vismederi).
