Departure from Carate Urio and arrival at the summit of Mount Colmegnone: appointment on May 19th for the Vertical of Lake Como, 5 km for 1,150 meters of positive altitude difference.
The route, steep but without aided or exposed sections, will take the athletes from the shores of Lake Como up to the 1,383 m of Mount Colmegnone, from which they can admire an incredible view of the lake.
Start list very full of important names, including the winners of the 2023 edition: Luca Curti and Paola Stampanoni. (list follows if you want to take some names). In addition to several national Fisky athletes such as Luca Compagnoni, Matteo Lora, Fabio Martinat, Benedetta Broggi and Corinna Ghirardi, an eye should be kept on the “locals” Daniele Danesin, former rowing Olympian and now trail runner registered with the organizing company and Davide Ballabio, former world champion of the X Terra category.
The first three male and female athletes to reach the finish line and the first in the various male and female categories will be rewarded. Ten days before the start, over 185 athletes between the ages of 20 and 90 have registered. Registrations open on ENDU (until Thursday 16 May and, if bibs are available, also on departure.
