Bram van Polen will continue as a football player for another year. The 38-year-old defender will start working for the amateurs of VVOG. Van Polen started his football career in the youth of the Harderwijkers and returns after eighteen years.
The Zwolle club icon explains his choice on the website of the club that plays in the fourth division. “I have talked about it a few times at home with my wife Lotte, because we were really looking forward to having the weekends to ourselves again without all kinds of football obligations. But I have always said that I would end my career at De Strokel. However, we have managed to reach a nice compromise: a maximum of 17 matches per season and training no more than once per week. The trainer agreed with that and so did the other boys on the team.”
