Tyrese Maxey and Stephen Curry Win NBA Sportsmanship and Magic Johnson Awards

Players Tyrese Maxey (Sixers) y Stephen Curry (Warriors) have won the Sportsmanship and Magic Johnson awards, respectively, it was announced. Maxey makes his debut in the record and Curry will win it for the second time.

The Sportsmanship award was born in the 1995-1996 season and corresponded in its initial year to Joe Dumarshence the award bears his name.

Maxey succeeds in the list of winners Mike Conleywho won the award for the fourth time last year, being the player who has won it the most times.

The Sixers point guard becomes the second player on his team to win the award. The precedent must be found in the 1999-2000 season when he won it Eric Snow.

Each NBA team chose one player from its roster to compete for the award and from the 30 candidates a panel of league executives chose 6 finalists, one for each division. Meanwhile, Stephen Curry won the Magic Johnson Award for the second time, which recognizes the player who has had the greatest cooperation and best treatment during the season with the media and fans both on and off the court, an award that grants the Professional Basketball Writers Association.

It is the second individual recognition Curry has received this season, as he also won the Clutch Player award.
