Meeting between RCD Mallorca and Las Palmas played last Sunday EFE

The OUT Las Palmasrival of Betis in the next round, arrives at Thursday’s match with a streak of eleven games without winning. Nine defeats and two draws are the numbers with which the Canarian team will face the duel against the Verdiblancos.

In those nine defeats, García Pimienta’s team has only managed to score a single goal in the match against Celta de Vigo four days ago, a match that ended in defeat by four goals to one. Las Palmas’ last victory in LaLiga was Feb. 10 when they beat Valencia 2-0.

The yellows’ slump began on matchday 25 when they lost by a resounding score of five goals to zero in the away match against Atlético de Madrid and, since then, the Gran Canaria team has not raised its head. Right now, they are among the teams with the fewest goals in favor of the classification having scored 30 goals in 35 days. Only Mallorca, Rayo Vallecano and Cádiz have scored less so far in the championship.

There are now fifty-eight official matches in which Las Palmas and Real Betis have faced each other. Twenty-eight victories belong to the Betic team, nineteen to the Canaries and the remaining eleven ended in a draw.
