Today Giro serves a short stage with a tough final climb: can Pogacar keep quiet?

Steep final climb

A short but nevertheless tough stage of 142 kilometers awaits the peloton today.

From the starting point of Pompei it goes inland towards Cusano Mutri, where the Bocca della Selva must be climbed towards the finish.

A glowing course awaits along the way, with a spot of the 2nd category just over halfway through the race: the Camposaur (6.1 km at 7.8%).

It is a warm-up for what promises to be a tough finale, with a 1st category climb and an uphill finish, on the Bocca della Selva.

The final climb is 17.9 kilometers long, with an average gradient of 5.6%. When the riders cross the finish line, they will have a total of 2,850 meters of elevation in their legs.
