The Savona 2024 Meeting takes place today, Wednesday 15 May, a traditional athletics event scheduled in the Ligurian town. The event dedicated to the memory of Giulio Ottolia, which takes place as per tradition at Fontanassa, promises to be highly spectacular and with many top Italians ready to give performances of the highest caliber technical, when the European Championships in Rome are now three weeks away and the Paris 2024 Olympics are fast approaching.
Leonardo Fabbri he will return to the platform where he sent the weight to 22.88 meters last May 1st in Modena. Matthias Furlani he will make his second outing of the season after the Diamond League race and is chasing a luxury test in the long jump, on the same platform that last year saw him as the protagonist with a resounding windy leap from 8.44 metres. Waiting for the debut of Zainab Dosso in the 100 meters (she is the national record holder), while Alessandro Sibilio he will return to the 400 hurdles.
Not to be missed Lorenzo Patta and Roberto Rigali in the 100 meters, Alessandro Sibilio (400 hurdles) and Lorenzo Simonelli (110 hurdles) gave up last.
