Ferrari brought a package of improvements to Imola. On Friday, the red cars looked strong, both in one-lap speed and in the racing simulation. Will he maintain his form on Saturday and Sunday as well?
“So far everything has gone smoothly. The feeling of the car is good,” said Leclerc. “The improvements on the car are working as expected, which is also a good step.”
“It was a smooth day. It’s great to be home. It’s always a special feeling for Ferrari to be here and to have such support around the track, it means a lot to all of us.”
“It will be great if the weekend continues in this direction. However, conditions will change massively tomorrow. The wind will turn completely, which will have a big effect on all the cars. We have to be the best we can be at anticipating these changes.”
Last year the Ferrari cars were very sensitive to the wind, but this year the situation has improved.
“We have to keep our feet on the ground because, as I said, there will be big changes tomorrow in terms of track conditions. Track position is absolutely key here, so qualifying will be extremely important and it will be important for us to do a good job in qualifying. We still have a lot of work to do. We will do our best to have a great qualifying session tomorrow.”
