The Big Surprise 2: Why I’m Betting on the Seattle Mariners to Beat the Minnesota Twins

Today, my go-to bet in major league baseball is backed by one of my top five systems, called “The Big Surprise 2.” Not only has this betting angle worked very well over many seasons, but I also like the logic of it.

First, let me reveal its rules: suppose a team called X suffers a “big upset” in its last match. According to my numbers, a good threshold for such a surprise is decimal odds above 2.50.

Now, if team match that she should have won easily.

Let’s take a look at yesterday’s Boston-Minnesota game. The Red Sox crushed the Twins 9-2, even though Boston was a pretty big underdog. This means the victim of the upset was Minnesota. Today, the Twins are not the favorites and they face another club: they must therefore be ruled out.

For this reason, my top baseball pick for Monday, May 6 is for the Seattle Mariners to defeat the Twins at Target Field.

Let me tell you about the past performance of “The Big Surprise 2” betting strategy. When I first developed it, the system produced a win of 20.90 units on 133 bets, which works out to a nice return on investment (ROI) of 15.7%.

Since then, I have monitored each system over the past four seasons. During this period, “The Big Surprise 2” generated a profit of 10.61 units via 85 bets. In terms of ROI, we get 12.5%, which again is super solid.

What’s even more impressive is the fact that this is the only system, out of 19 that I’ve developed, that has shown a profit in each of the last four years. When it comes to consistency, it doesn’t get any better than this, my friends!

My confidence in this bet is reinforced by the fact that Minnesota saw its incredible 12 winning streak come to an end yesterday. This gives him even more reason to have his confidence shaken, on top of the surprise I mentioned earlier.

His 12 consecutive victories are obviously impressive, but let’s not forget that seven of them came against the poor Chicago White Sox. And three others were obtained at the expense of the Los Angeles Angels, another weak club.

I also wish good luck to the Twins offense facing Luis Castillo. After a difficult start to the season, he returned to his dominant habits. In his last three starts, he’s posted a miniscule 0.90 ERA. And he faced the Atlanta Braves and the Texas Rangers, in addition to pitching at Coors Field. It’s incredibly amazing.

Meanwhile, Minnesota will count on Simeon Woods Richardson. The 23 year old pitcher has done a very good job this year, but I think he is on the verge of crashing. Of his last three starts, two of them were against the worst offense in the big leagues, the White Sox, and the other was against Detroit, who has a below-average offense. I’m sorry, but I think Woods Richardson is going to hit a wall tonight.
