Defending champions Real Madrid and Panathinaikos Athens will play for the European Basketball League title on Sunday. In the semi-final matches at the final tournament in Berlin, the Spanish winners of the regular season beat Olympiakos Piraeus 87-76 in a repeat of last year’s final, and the Athens club defeated Fenerbahce Istanbul 73-57. Panathinaikos made it to the final for the first time since 2011, when they won the competition for the last time and for the sixth time overall.
