Teresa Fernández-Miranda will compete in the Olympic qualification series in Shanghai

MADRID, 14 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish rider Teresa Fernández-Miranda will compete next Friday and Saturday in Shanghai (China) in the Olympic qualification series, in which she will look for a ticket to represent Spain in BMX Freestyle Park.

The Olympic qualification series will be made up of two events, the first event in Shanghai and the second, which will be held in Budapest from June 20 to 23. In total, 12 Olympic places will be up for grabs, six for the women’s BMX Freestyle Park and the same number for the men’s.

On Friday, the qualifiers will take place starting at 10:00, while the final will take place on Saturday at the same time. The position occupied by each of the ‘riders’ in this Shanghai competition will give them a series of points that, added to those achieved in Budapest, will make up the final general classification from which the representatives will emerge in Paris 2024.

The six riders who qualify in these Olympic qualification series will join the five athletes who have already secured a place in the 2022 and 2023 World Championships in the specialty.
