Tennis Dream Couple: Love Confusion at the French Open

Love confusion for the tennis dream couple.

The French Open – and thus the second Grand Slam tournament of the year – is just around the corner. The love turmoil surrounding two tennis stars is also providing food for thought in the run-up to the event.

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa – they are not only two absolute stars of the tennis scene, but announced a year ago: “We are a couple!” At the time, the Greek even spoke of a soul mate between the two exceptional athletes. But recently there has been quite a stir about this glamorous relationship.

Because Tsitsipas and Badosa had not posted any pictures together on social media for a long time, rumors of a breakup began to circulate. The Spaniard confirmed these on Instagram at the beginning of May. “After careful consideration and many beautiful moments together, we have decided to part on good terms,” wrote the former world number 2.

Love comeback after three weeks

But the separation did not last long. Because now, around three weeks later, Stefanos Tsitsipas made a surprising statement in Paris – the city of love: “We are back together,” he said. “Paula did nothing wrong, I did nothing wrong either. It was just difficult for us to be apart.”

The reigning Monte Carlo winner explains why the relationship initially broke down: “I wasn’t managing it well because I felt the pressure on the tour and at work. It felt like a mountain to combine my personal and professional life and I decided to take a break.”

“I felt how intense our love is.” Stefanos Tsitsipas

But he soon realized that something was missing. “After two or three weeks, I realized that she was someone who supported me a lot, and when she tried to talk to me about meeting up, I felt how intense the love we have for each other is.” That is a declaration of love as you would imagine it.

Both will play in Paris

Badosa himself told the Bild newspaper: “Things are going very well between us now. What I, or what we, didn’t like was that the relationship was very public. Now we want to keep things more to ourselves.” The tennis dream couple is celebrating a triumphant comeback. Tsitsipas (number 9 in the world) and Badosa (number 140) are both taking part in the French Open.
