Tadej Pogacar won the eighth stage of the 107th edition of the Giro d’Italia, the 152 km Spoleto-Prati di Tivo with an uphill finish, in a sprint. The Slovenian, who gained further seconds, once again confirms his pink jersey.
For Pogacar, in his first Giro d’Italia, it is the third stage victory: the Slovenian had already won in the second, arriving at the Sanctuary of Oropa, and yesterday in the Spoleto-Perugia time trial. Behind him at today’s finish in Prati di Tivo were Daniel Felipe Martínez (BORA – hansgrohe) second, Ben O’Connor (Decathlon AG2R La Difesa Team), third. Fourth and best Italian Antonio Tiberi (Bahrain – Victorious).
