Swiatek expeditious in the quarter-finals of the Masters 1000 in Rome

The Pole easily got rid of Madison Keys to reach the semi-finals of the tournament in the Italian capital.

World number 1 Iga Swiatek easily qualified for the semi-finals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Rome by outclassing American Madison Keys (16th) 6-1, 6-3 on Tuesday. The 22-year-old Pole has still not lost a set since her arrival in Rome, a tournament she has won twice (2021, 2022).

In the semi-finals on Thursday, she will face the American Coco Gauff (3rd) or the Chinese Qinwen Zheng (7th). Since the start of the year, Swiatek has won three titles, including the WTA 1000 in Madrid twelve days ago.
