Svethia Recanati Dominates Upr Montemarciano in PlayOff Final for Serie B2 Dream

Svethia Recanati flies to the PlayOff final where the winner of Osimo-San Marino will compete for the right to compete in the next Serie B2 against Sabbatini and his companions with the Monte Titano team good at impacting the series and dragging the headless to the “beautiful” of Sunday. At the PalaMenotti the gialloblu arrive galvanized by the resounding success of game 1, Montemarciano dusts off Giachi and finds Araujo in the control room while Pentucci and Federico Savelli stop in the pits.

Gialloblu at full speed with Gurini and Andreani scoring two triples which immediately ignited the over two hundred yellow and blue hearts that arrived from Colle. Maggiotto and Araujo come to the rescue for a Montemarciano team that is unable to stem the Svethia attack supported by the Pozzetti-Gurini duo who put Reca ahead of +11 (7-18). Coach Ercolessi’s time-out does not change the inertia with the yellow and blues continuing to push, closing the quarter 11-22 thanks to Resmini’s triple from almost nine metres. Recanati puts on a show: three consecutive torpedoes from Pozzetti send the Leopardian people into raptures, +20 (11-31) which stuns the UPR.

Giachi and Ponzella to keep the blue and whites staying afloat (20-36) but they can do nothing in the face of the visiting attack which is good at scoring even with Sabbatini and Ndzie. The quarter ends with two points from Marzullo and Svethia who goes to the break 28-49. A basket and a foul by Pozzetti opens the third quarter, Maggiotto and Baldoni, the last to surrender, try to make sense of what remains to be played. Pozzetti again for +21 Recanati (36-57) before Maggiotto’s triple to which Andreani responds (41-63).

A 5-0 break by Baldoni-Lupetti did not discourage Svethia who led 53-70 at the third and penultimate buzzer. The hosts try to throw their heart over the obstacle, the yellow and blue percentages begin to drop and an 11-2 break dramatically reopens the match (61-72 triple by Lupetti). Now it’s a battle of nerves and all of Svethia’s experience emerges, taken by the hand by Andreani, who is masterful in directing and lucid with the clock stopped.

Baldoni’s triple (74-81) is the last gasp of a never-tamed Montemarciano, it ends 74-85 with Reimundo’s free throws and the celebration of the Leopardian people can begin. Now the last act, it begins on Sunday 19th at 6pm at the PalaCingolani-Pierini. Osimo or San Marino between Recanati and the Serie B2 dream. (Source: Pallacanestro Recanati communication area)
