VITERBO – Sunday full of emotions for the boys of the C series of the Viterbo Baseball Club, who return from the trip to Perugia with a bitter defeat. The match ends 6 to 5 for the home team. The boys made a few too many mistakes by conceding points to their opponents and they didn’t express themselves in the best way in attack. Ours is a young team that must get used to this type of match where concentration must be greater than usual. However, we are proud of our athletes who demonstrate that they are growing more and more every day. The steps forward they are making will give us a lot of satisfaction in the future. For the coaches this was not a defeat, but a victory: these are the challenges that can make a team grow and guarantee a future full of gratitude. The staff is proud of the path taken and above all of the growth that is more evident every day. In particular we want to highlight a boy who made his debut in Serie C: ALESSIO MAZZA. Who, at just 16 years old, yesterday proved to be an excellent defensive player. After catching a nice fly ball to left field, with a great throw he eliminated the runner at second base, thus implementing a high-level play. Next Sunday there will finally be the debut in Viterbo against Caserta, a team with excellent players. This week’s program is intense.
The Viterbo Baseball Club will take the field on Wednesday 8 May with the Under 18 team on the Giancarlo Massini field in Viterbo against Cali Roma at 5.30 pm.
On Saturday, again in Viterbo, it will be the turn, starting from 10.00, of our Under 12s. The Under 15s will instead be away in Rome, where they will compete in a concentration that will see them face the Brewers and Cali Roma.
