SLIEDRECHT – The Para-Badminton Tournament Sliedrecht 2024 took place in the De Stoep sports hall on Saturday, May 25, 2024. The organizer is badminton club Shuttle Up. At the end of the afternoon, Alderman Roelant Bijderwieden (VVD) of Sport presented the prizes.
This tournament is part of the national Para-Badminton circuit and in addition to Dutch top players, Belgian top players are also present. These are the winners of Roll Mixed Double together with Alderman Bijderwieden. (Photo Peter Donk / Sliedrecht24)

The following categories and parts were played: Single Roll, Women’s Single B Roll, Standing Women’s Single B, Standing Men’s Single B, Mixed Doubles Roll and Standing Mixed Doubles.

Sports councilor Roelant Bijderwieden (VVD) addressed the players and complimented them for their play. Bijderwieden also said that the municipality of Sliedrecht supports sports for people with disabilities. He promised to play along himself next year. “But I still have to practice for that,” he added wisely. Saturday, May 17, 2025 can already be added to the agenda. Then there is another Para-Badminton Tournament.
