Chicago has additionally put pitcher Dominic Leone on the 15-day injured list due to tightness in his lower back.
He has a record of 60 wins and 39 losses, with an ERA of 3.45 in 128 starts and 24 relief appearances over eight seasons with Cleveland (2016-20), San Diego (2020-22), and Chicago (2023). He was unable to play during the 2021 season due to undergoing Tommy John surgery.
The 33-year-old player started in two games for Charlotte and gave up three runs and 10 hits while also recording seven strikeouts in 7⅓ innings.
Last season, Clevinger had a record of 9 wins and 9 losses with a 3.77 ERA and two complete games in 24 starts while playing for the White Sox. He is currently a free agent.
Mike Clevinger, a right-handed pitcher, was called up from Triple-A Charlotte by the Chicago White Sox to begin Monday evening’s match against the Tampa Bay Rays in St. Petersburg, Florida.
