Spanish Badminton Federation Expands Horizons with Training Camp in Denmark

The Spanish Badminton Federation (FESBA) is pleased to announce the successful call and acceptance of the training camp and training course that will be carried out in Denmark under the direction of the renowned coach Lennart Engler. This new international activity is part of the continuous effort to modernize and develop our athletes and technicians.
New Technological Activity Abroad.

The national technology project expands its horizons and moves abroad. From July 1 to 7, Spanish technicians will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive training course in Denmark, designed and directed by Lennart Engler, who has collaborated closely with the Federation in several previous activities. This course will focus on the methodology and didactics that are carried out in Denmark by this prestigious coach and that he has been instilling in Spain since last season.
Great Acceptance among Athletes

The call has had an excellent reception, with 16 applications from athletes for the 8 available places. This positive response indicates that the work and methodology of coach Lennart Engler are being highly valued and beneficial for our athletes.

Among the selected athletes are Hugo Sanz (Valonsadero, Castilla León), Raúl Hernández (Infante, Murcia) and Sofía García (Pitiús, Balearic Islands), who have been chosen for their dedication and potential demonstrated in previous concentrations.

As for the technicians, the Federation has also covered all the positions offered. Bernat Amaya (Granollers, Catalonia) and Vicent Martínez (Pitiús, Balearic Islands) have been selected for the two places awarded, joining them Lucía Galvín, Beatriz Corrales and Ernesto García, who will participate directly as part of the Federation team.

This training campus and training course in Denmark represent an effort to continue the activities already carried out with Lennart Engler in December 2023, May and June 2024. The Spanish Badminton Federation continues to focus on the constant training and updating of its athletes and technicians, thus ensuring solid and competitive development in the field of badminton.

The Federation will cover registration for the course and will offer financial aid of 1,000 euros per coach and selected athlete, as well as an additional 200 euros for the coaches participating in the training course. This aid will partially cover the costs of travel, accommodation and food during your stay in Denmark.

The training camp will be held over two weeks, July 8-14 and July 15-21, and full participation is recommended to make the most of this valuable learning and development opportunity.

The Spanish Badminton Federation appreciates the enthusiastic participation of athletes and technicians in this new initiative and reaffirms its commitment to the development of badminton in Spain. These international activities are essential to raise the competitive level of our teams and ensure a promising future for Spanish badminton.
