The Spanish wheelchair tennis team was proclaimed world runner-up for the third time in its history, after losing (2-0) to Great Britain in the final of the tournament held in the Turkish city of Antalya.

Spain could not beat the great favorite, which had in its ranks the world number one, Alfie Hewett, and the number five, Gordon Reid. Daniel Caverzaschi opened the final against Reid with a 6-3, 6-4 defeat.

Next, Martín de la Puente, world number four, made Spain dream with the first round but suffered the comeback of Alfie Hewett, with a 2-6 6-4 6-1.
