Soria will host the absolute Spanish archery championship this weekend, with more than two hundred participants and Valonsadero and La Dehesa as venues.
The Councilor for Sports of the Soria City Council, Manu Salvador, has highlighted the success of 2019, the chosen environments such as Valonsadero and Alto de la Dehesa and the loudspeaker that these tests represent for the image of the city.
“We know that there will be more than 200 competitors and, again, we can only thank you for choose Soria and encourage citizens to enjoy these not so well-known but spectacular sports,” indicated the councilor who has valued the work of the Federation and especially that of the Club Alto Real who also coordinates the municipal school.
For his part, the vice president of the Spanish Federation, José María Riojahas agreed to highlight the work of the Alto Real Club as well as the good feelings of 2019 that have made them return to the city and also “break all participation records for this type of events.”
“Own archers Athletes asked me to return to Soria since it is a very welcoming city and the spaces where they will compete are perfect. The modalities will be straight bow, recurve bow, compound, Olympic and naked bow,” he indicated.
Regarding the most important aspects practicalfrom the host club it has been pointed out that “the competition takes place on Saturday in Valonsadero with two routes, one inside the corrals in Cañada Honda and another between the corrals and the Pedrajas road with 24 shooting positions in each direction. It will start at 8.30. On Sunday the finals will be held in Alto de la Dehesa from 10:00 am.”
Spaces will be enabled so that people can see the proof, interacting with shooters from 15 autonomous communities, and learning the details of this sport. There are thirteen registered from Soria and shooters with options to be at the top like Ricardo García, who is from Almazán, and Raquel Frías. l
Both of them shoot in the naked bow mode.
