Slovakia defeats Kazakhstan, Finland defeats Great Britain

Finland defeated Great Britain 8-0 (1-0, 5-0, 2-0) in Group A.

Finland secured victory in the second third, when Olivers Kapanen scored his second goal in the game, and Jese Puljujervi, Jere Innala in the majority, Jūso Rīkola and Olli Māta scored the first.

Kapanen also scored the last goal of the match with a hat-trick, while another goal was scored by Miko Lehtonen.

Mikaels Granlund collected four assists, Puljujervi (1+2) and Ahti Oksanen (0+3) also collected three points each, and Māta (1+1) and Oliver Kaski (0+2) had two.

In goal, Emil Larmi played a “dry” game, saving 14 shots, while on the opposite side of the field, Ben Bauns saved 39 shots.

Slovakia beat Kazakhstan 6:2 (3:0, 1:1, 2:1) in Group B.

The Slovaks laid the foundation for victory already in the first third, with Martin Pospišilas, Martins Faško-Rudaš and Matūš Sukel scoring the majority of the goals.

Pospíšils ended the game with two goals, but Libor Hudáček, who scored a free kick and assisted twice more, and Lukāš Cingels also scored. Faško-Rudaš, Sukel (both – 1+1) and Šimon Nemets (0+2) scored two points.

Alikhan Omirbekov and Alikhan Osetov scored goals for the Kazakhstan national team, passing twice to Samat Daniyar.
