A smile comes from Monte-Carlo and lights up tennis Sunday. It’s Jannik’s Sinner, on the second day of training in the Principality towards Roland Garros. “Let’s work” wrote the Italian on Instagram, portrayed in a team photo with the entire team: Darren Cahill in the foreground, then Simone Vagnozzi and Umberto Ferrara. Only the physiotherapist, Giacomo Naldi, Sinner’s “guardian angel” during the week of treatment on the right hip at J Medical in Turin. Jannik is working tirelessly with a clear goal: be at Roland Garros.
The wait for Paris
Returned to Monte-Carlo on Friday evening, Sinner took the racket back in his hand for the first time on Saturday, 18 days after the last time. For him, a countdown has begun towards Paris, the Slam which will begin on May 26th: a few days left to resolve his reservations. Sinner is fine from a clinical point of view, then we will have to see sensations on the pitch and athletic condition which, inevitably, cannot be the best given the almost three-week stop. A delicate decision that he will make together with the doctors and his team. Meanwhile, field work continues.
