The Los Angeles Dodgers grabbed the big fish of free agency during the offseason by signing Shohei Ohtani for the next 10 years in exchange for $700 million, a contract never before seen in the Major Leagues. Unable to pitch in his first season with the Dodgers, the Japanese superstar became the designated hitter and is currently the league’s home run leader with 11.
In his first months as a Dodgers player, the superstar is showing his best version and has fit in in the clubhouse with the rest of his teammates. He is in his best moment and still has room for improvement to continue being the leader in the offensive of the ninth Angelina in search of winning their first World Series in Major League Baseball.

Shohei Ohtani is clearly happy to be playing for the Dodgers and has a very good relationship with manager Dave Roberts. You even see a ‘Sho’ much more comfortable and focused than he was when he was with the Angels in his first six seasons in the Major Leagues.

“I think with Shohei, it just speaks to how comfortable he feels here with the Dodgers, how excited he is to play winning baseball. Arguably he has a chance to be one of the great players of our generation, if not beyond, but ultimately guys are competitors and they want to play for a championship,” commented Dave Roberts.
“So I think the way he’s been received, the way he’s melded with our ballclub, how much the fans have embraced him… he feels it, and I think it translates into performance. I think he is having more fun than ever and his play shows it,” the Dodgers manager added.

Shohei Ohtani was being very aggressive in every at-bat and now he is more patient in hitting the ball to help the team score more runs. Since April 14, ‘Sho’ has hit seven home runs and has 17 RBIs in 19 games.
