Rinov/Pitha qualified for the semifinals after beating another Indonesian pair who were also sixth seeds, Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja, 21-19, 23-21.
Meanwhile, Ana/Tiwi, nicknamed Febriana/Amalia, stepped into the top four after eliminating Taiwanese doubles Chang Ching Hui/Yang Ching Tun 21-16, 21-12 in the quarter-finals.
In the semifinals, Rinov/Pitha will again face a tough opponent who is the fifth seed from China, Guo Xin Wa/Chen Fang Hui.
Guo/Chen advanced to the semifinals after winning over the home pair, Supak Jomkoh/Supissara Paewsampran. The Rinov/Pitha Guo/Chen duel took place in the second match.
Ana/Tiwi faced a tougher opponent because they had to clash with the third seeds from Japan, Rin Iwanaga/Kie Nakanishi, in the sixth match.
Iwanaga/Naknishi managed to beat the eighth seeds who are also the mainstay of host Thailand, Laksika Kanlaha/Phataimas Muenwong in the quarter-finals.
