Salzburg is worried about goalkeeper Schlager

The injury news for the ÖFB doesn’t stop this weekend. After Leipzig legionnaire Xaver Schlager’s cruciate ligament rupture was confirmed, which means he will miss the European Championships in Germany from mid-June, the national team and Red Bull Salzburg are worried about the next support.

Goalkeeper Alexander Schlager felt pain in his knee during the warm-up before Sunday’s game in the 30th round of the Admiral Bundesliga between Rapid and Salzburg and had to make way for Timo Horn.

TV pictures then showed the team goalie limping in front of the Salzburg bench, which is likely to cause further worry lines for team boss Ralf Rangnick. Salzburg coach Onur Cinel announced an MRI examination for Monday morning. Schlager would be another unpleasant addition to the long list of ÖFB injuries.
