Rudi Garcia, Julen Lopetegui, Erik ten Hag… The avenues are multiplying for Bayern

New names are being mentioned in the press with a view to the succession of Thomas Tuchel on the Bavarian bench.

Zinedine Zidane, Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann… The succession of Thomas Tuchel is not easy in Munich. Dominated by Bayer Leverkusen in the league but still on track in the semi-final of the Champions League, against Real (2-2 in the first leg), Bayern noted the departure of the former PSG coach for many weeks NOW. Like Ralf Rangnick’s refusal, the Recorder is struggling to find the rare pearl. Other names are now mentioned here and there, Hansi Flick (free), Roberto De Zerbi (Brighton) or Ernesto Valverde (Bilbao). The team adds one who will get people talking: Rudi Garcia. Dismissed at the start of the season in Naples, the 60-year-old French technician, who worked for Lyon and OM, is free from any commitment. Apparently, his profile is one of those that have been “discussed internally”.

On the German side, Bild points out that current Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag is one of the names to keep in mind. Crispy when we know that Tuchel could possibly take over the management of… Man. United. Which Tuchel took care to maintain suspense this Friday, at a press conference, ensuring that the agreement he has with Bayern for a separation at the end of the season “still holds”specifying that “everything is possible“. To note that Sky evokes another track: the one which leads to the former Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui. The Bavarian leaders would have tested the waters to find out his availability after Rangnick’s refusal.
