The European Championship Cup was presented in the Telekom shop yesterday. Fans were able to take photos with the trophy. And a not-yet-national player but upcoming European Championship star was there: Aleksandar Pavlovic (20).
The youngster had an incredible debut season and was rewarded with a tournament nomination by Julian Nagelsmann (36).
And: Most fans wanted a photo with Pavlovic rather than with the pot – and he was beaming with the trophy. Even after hundreds of photos and autographs, he still laughed and wrote patiently.
BILD asked Pavlovic how nice it is to have such an appointment as an official European Championship participant. He grins: “Very nice! Seeing so many fans makes me happy. I used to be the same way as a fan!”

Did he ever risk a look at the trophy? Pavlovic: “I’ve looked at it several times. I like it very, very, very much…”
His nomination was announced on Monday on RTL by Frauke Ludowig (60). Aleks: “I received a message in the morning and it was announced exclusively on RTL in the evening. A very nice feeling, a very nice moment.” Moderator Ludowig even knew Pavlovic: “I used to sometimes watch RTL with my sister.”

Of course, Pavlovic is now keen to become a real international player – he was actually invited in March, but had to cancel due to tonsillitis.
He already knows exactly what the cup looks like – hopefully we’ll see you again in two months…
