“Today it didn’t go as I expected. But mistakes happen and you learn from them. That’s why I’m glad that the qualification is over. I’m now concentrating on the all-around final tomorrow and hope that I can show my best and have fun,” said Varfolomeev after her performance.

With third place on this hand apparatus, the qualification in the Budapest sports arena ended on a positive note for the world champion. Varfolomeev has three chances to win a medal in total, tomorrow in the all-around final and on Sunday in the final with the ball and with the ribbon.
