Good evening friends of OA Sport and welcome to the LIVE text of Venice-Schio, game 2 of the Scudetto final of the 2023-2024 women’s basketball Serie A1 championship. After Umana Reyer’s victory in game 1 we return to the field for the second act at the “Taliercio”.
Thanks to an excellent second half, coach Mazzon’s Umana Reyer Venezia won 77-65 in game 1, which took place on Wednesday evening at the “Taliercio” with Matilde Villa, Awak Kuier and Lisa Berkani on the shields with 15 points each on the scoresheet. The reigning Italian champions Famila Wuber Schio will therefore be called upon to react promptly this evening so as not to let the Scudetto go towards the lagoon.
Venezia will therefore try to exploit the field factor once again before the series moves to Schio for at least one more match. It was a growing match for the oro-granade who, after closing the first quarter at -10, then placed three important partials in the following three periods which allowed Mazzon’s team to lay the first brick towards winning the title, held for two consecutive seasons by Schio.
