Real Madrid walks against a relegated Granada

The champion rotates and thrashes, Brahim’s double, a Nasrid team that met its sad fate a few hours before

MADRID, 11 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Madrid mercilessly beat Granada (0-4) on matchday 35 of LaLiga EA Sports held at the Nuevo Los Cármenes, with a brace from Brahim as a standout performance in addition to the clean sheet by a Thibaut Courtois who can dream of regain their place for the Champions League final.

The afternoon in Granada began awry for the locals, with the news of mathematical relegation due to the victory shortly before over Mallorca. With Los Cármenes full, the Nasrid team could not hide the depression in its game and, although Madrid was not overly motivated either, the League champion imposed its stripes.

Carlo Ancelotti rotated the entire team compared to Wednesday’s game against Bayern Munich, except for Rüdiger, and the visitors lacked some intensity at the back. Granada had their arrivals on the wing and some of them found Lucas Boyé and Uzuni. However, José Ramón Sandoval’s men did not bite either and Madrid triangulated with danger, needing little to score.

Thus, Brahim’s change of pace destroyed the locals whenever he wanted, starting with Fran García’s 0-1 in the 38th minute. The former Rayo player celebrated his first goal in the League with the whites and, before the break, scored as assistant to Arda Güler. The ballot soon began to weigh on Granada, despite their good face in recent weeks showing that they were going to fight until the end.

That spirit was no longer there against a Madrid that struck again as soon as the match resumed. Brahim turned in the center of the field and headed towards the rival goal: cutback and goal. A new demonstration of quality from the Malaga native, claiming a place in the Champions League final on June 1st against Borussia Dortmund.

Ancelotti’s men, who will celebrate their League title in the capital this Sunday, have the ‘Decimoquinta’ in mind and, until then, every game will be a good training session. The one from Los Cármenes took it seriously, especially the former Milan player, a Brahim who also scored the fourth in a wall with Modric almost in a small area.

Granada was screaming for the end, while Madrid, with Joselu plugged in after his double against Bayern to save the semi-final, did not stop trying. Courtois also wants to be at Wembley, having kept his second clean sheet in two games after his long injury, but the truth is that the Belgian hardly had any work.
